Naval Amphibious Base, Little Creek covers approximately 2,120 acres of land. It is sited at the extreme northwest corner of the city of Virginia Beach and extends to the city of Norfolk. The Hampton Roads Region has a high population of military members due to the many different military installations including Army, Air Force and Marines. The entire area is very military friendly and there are many activities and points of interest for service members and families to enjoy. Among the attractions of Virginia Beach are a highly acclaimed public education system, state-of-the-art health care facilities, the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center, a world-class 20,000 seat amphitheater, and a multipurpose Sportsplex. All of this is located on 38 miles of shoreline and 28 miles of City beaches.
